Our Mechanical Ventilation workshop will demystify the physiology of ventilation, discuss the principles of mechanical ventilation including ventilation parameters and measurement. Will discuss the various ventilation modes in anaesthesia including the advantages, limitations and precautions. We will also discuss the assessment and nursing management of the ventilated patient and will practice establishing the various modes of ventilation on an anaesthetic machine.
Our program is ANZCA PS08 compliant.

Our Mechanical Ventilation workshop is designed with Registered Nurses in mind but is also suitable for enrolled nurses, anaesthetic technicians and students who wish to enhance their knowledge of Mechanical Ventilation.

Catering

Workshop is fully catered and includes all day tea and coffee, morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea.

Dress Code

Casual clothing with enclosed footwear.

Certification

Completion of this workshop attracts 7 hours of specialty-specific CPD as required by AHPRA
