Anaesthetic Emergencies for Scrub Nurses

"If we require assistance from others in an emergency, its our responsibility to train them"

Description

This workshop will focus on assisting with anaesthetic and perioperative emergencies for nurses not from an anaesthetic background, and is particularly relevant given that often emergencies occur after hours when resources and personnel are considerably limited! Having an awareness of clinical emergencies increases our ability to respond effectively.

This program is designed specifically with a scrub/scout nurse perspective in mind but is also relevant for nursing staff from other backgrounds such as PACU & day surgery.
